Selling a home can be a stressful experience with many areas to cover and not necessarily understanding all to them, especially as senior citizens.  The first step in selling a home, in our mind, is liking and feeling comfortable with the agent you meet in person for the first time.  We attempted to sell our home on our own without an agent. After having our home on the market for a few months, Katherine contacted us on the phone offering to help us sell.  Our phone conversation went well and we invited her to stop by to “talk”.  We immediately felt comfortable with her; she was very personable and knowledgeable of her profession.  We felt our home was an exception to the other homes in our area which she agreed with, and we had set a price in our mind that we wanted and expected for our home.  Katherine explained “comparables” but offered to begin the selling process with a figure we were okay with, making adjustments for us and for herself.  She was always responsive in a professional way when we needed to make adjustments to “our plan”.  She was a good negotiator for our interests and stood by us while dealing with a prospective but determined buyer working with a different agent.  We encountered “bumps” along the way with inspectors,  appraisers, specific demands from the buyer, but Katherine worked for us and made the sale happen with all in agreement.  Katherine also represented us on the negotiations and purchase of our newly constructed home.  I would, and have, recommended Katherine to others who selling or purchasing a new home.
